"An Angel's Wing for My daughter"
A long time ago when I was in the Navy in port at San Francisco bay My friend Joel nelson took me the the visitors center at the Oakland Temple. Their we watched a film called, "Man's Search for Happiness". In Part of the film wordswrth's Poem was quoted. I have never forgot the film or the poem.
This profound beautiful poem like the film suggest some important answers to questions we all have sometime in our life, including what real lasting happiness is?
...Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting:
The Soul that rises with us, our life's Star,
Hath had elsewhere its setting,
And cometh from afar:
Not in entire forgetfulness,
And not in utter nakedness,
But trailing clouds of glory do we come
From God, who is our home:...
(Wordsworth, "My Heart Leaps Up")
My daughter loves the painting!
The poem I feel seem to be a good match for, "An Angel's Wing"
I hope you enjoy Both.
