The Story

Mixed media: Wood, linen, oil & pitch, I love it when I can make a frame play a part in telling the story in my paintings. moving on to the  linen, painted with heavy impasto of dark rich Cad red deep, burnt umber, and burnt sienna, cobalt blue paint. The foreground resedes into a sultry vaporius cast of yellow ochre light. The Ark of Noah is unmoved protected my the hand of eternal designer of Heaven and earth.

"NOAHOPOOLY"

The Savior reveals to his disciples the signs of His second coming.

Luke 17:26-28

26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Artist's thoughts

Some may feel that to destroy all the inhabitants on the earth but eight was a terrible thing for God to do. I believe the flood, (great deluge) became a blessing of tender mercy to future children born on earth.

The Monopoly board is a symbol of the conditions in the times of Noe, and our own time.
Without God, and His commandments and Light, man will always fall into the abyss of self destruction, as 7,000 years of secular and religious history has proven.

Monopoly comes from the Greek translation and means alone or single. Monopolies in
business, government, or family relations, by nature, often become self will, self satisfaction, and self glory. The Monopoly game finishes with only one winner. He or she is alone. What is left? Material things and one soul, and a memory that you took from everyone and gave
nothing in return. The heavens weep.

When God’s children no longer have the ability to see the joy of serving their brother, and
prefer  to destroy the virtues of gospel living, the game is over.
God will no longer suffer His children to be born under such conditions. They no longer have a chance to overcome such evil. God in mercy must start a new beginning.
The Ark, with Noe and his family are shielded inside for listening to the Lord. They represent  new hope, a new covenant for future generations born.

The rainbow of colors around the board is a reminder to Noe and his children that the Lord will not flood the earth. Their will be times of harvest until His second coming. We prepare ourselves by applying the virtue of the gospel of Jesus Christ, we can look forward with our families to His second coming and avoid the second cleansing by fire.
