Matthew 24:3, 37-39
3Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
The great light at the end of all this is, there will be a people, when Christ comes that be striving to keep his commandments and see mankind as their neighbors striving to love and serve the Lord and all his children. They will be preserved as Noah and and family were. They will live and work for a millennium. The earth and her people on it will live in a terrestrial state. At the end of that millennium the earth and its remaining inhabitants will turn celestial and roll back into the presence of their creator.
