A very classical plain air painting of great beauty. While painting it, I was struck by the thought that these long rows of wooden hives in white seemed representative of temples and the work that goes on there.

The Story
I came across these hives while searching for a landscape of the Jordan River Temple and was struck by the thought that these long rows of wooden hives in white seemed representative of temples and the work that goes on there. The beehives also represented the files of family names whose work needed to be done while the bees themselves are symbolic of temple workers and those searching out their family names. The honey is representative of the sweet joy that comes from uniting families together on both sides of the veil.
